Server Technology to Exhibit Data Center Power Monitoring and Management Solutions at Teledata Technology Convergence Conference
Complete line of data center products and solutions designed to help improve uptime and energy efficiency while reducing operating costs and carbon footprint

(Reno, NV), February 16, 2010 – Server Technology Inc., the global leader for data center Power Distribution Unit and Power Measurement and Management Solutions, will be exhibiting a full line of power monitoring and management solutions at Teledata Technology Convergence Conference, February 23 at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

“There is so much data center and technology activity in California right now and we’re excited to be back at the Teledata Technology Convergence Conference to showcase the latest world class power distribution, monitoring and measuring solutions,” said Brandon Ewing, president of Server Technology. “For the first time ever, we have one of our patented PIPSTM (Per Inlet Power Sensing) CDUs (Cabinet Power Distribution Units) on our demo rack.  The PIPSTM feature is our newest technology that provides more accurate and more types of power monitoring than any other method.  Our PIPSTM products are also capable of Wire-Free power monitoring with RF Code Sensor Tags.  We’d love to invite attendees to visit our booth and see the PIPSTM and Wire-Free solutions.”

The Sentry PIPSTM CDUs combine provide a new level of power monitoring per inlet/infeed. Power information per infeed includes current, voltage, power, apparent power, crest factor, reactance, power factor and accumulated energy. This information replaces branch circuit monitoring devices typically installed in the power distribution panel or remote power panel (RPP) with higher accuracy and lower cost monitoring of each circuit attached to the CDU.

The wire-free rack level power monitoring solution designed for data center efficiency was jointly-developed by Server Technology and RF Code and works with all PIPSTM  CDUs.  This solution allows RF Code sensor tags to capture and then transmit power monitoring in-feed and device level data with Per-Outlet-Power-Sensing (POPSTM) from the Server Technology CDUs, to the RF Code wire-free active reader infrastructure. Readers then send the information to RF Code’s Sensor Manager software, which manages the power monitoring information.
