2012 Technology Convergence Conference to Highlight Enterprise Trends and Sustainability in Popular Convergence Track

Fremont, Calif. – January 13, 2012 – TELADATA, a leading consulting firm specializing in IT infrastructure design, planning and project management, today announced that its 2012 Technology Convergence Conference will highlight corporate IT trends, collaboration strategies and data-center scalability and sustainability.

The track titled Trends & Converging Technologies will feature end-user case studies and panel discussions on significant developments in the convergence of consumer, enterprise IT and facilities technologies. Sessions on the track (one of four at the conference) will discuss the benefits of vital yet cost-effective infrastructure and technology investments.

Brian Donathan, Principal at TELADATA, will moderate a panel discussion between Kevin Barney, Data Center Manager at UCSF, and Doug Alger, IT Architect at Cisco, titledData Center Consolidation and the Effects on Operation that focuses on IT architecture best practices.

Michael Bangs, Director of Global Facilities at Adobe, will deliver a presentation titled Utilizing Technology to Reduce Real Estate Space and Improve Collaboration, a case study on improving collaboration between multi-team and multi-location corporate organizations.

Brian Mata, Senior Audiovisual Consultant at TELADATA, will host a session on environmental, ethical and philosophical considerations in technology consumerism and areas for improvement in a presentation titled Sustainable AV - Beyond “Green”.

Andrew Taylor, Senior Director Services and UC Toolkit at Plantronics, will moderate a panel entitled Wireless Voice in the Changing Enterprise, which will discuss how wireless voice technologies integrated with unified communication platforms can optimize enterprise collaboration. Panelists will include Ken Koll, Wireless Application Engineer at Plantronics, Fred Love, Unified Communications Engineer at HP, and Jeff Suellentrop, Director of Enterprise Architecture at PETCO.

“Understanding the impacts of wireless is a topic that IT and facility professionals simply cannot overlook,” said Andrew Taylor.  “The panel will provide a first-hand account of real-world wireless implementations in dynamic and demanding office environments.”

Michael Hirahara, Vice President of Global Real Estate, Facilities & Services at Brocade, will deliver a presentation titled Tools for Strategic Scalability and Competitiveness, which will describe the competitive and financial benefits of improving IT scalability, performance, flexibility and sustainability.

Shayna Bramley, Director of Lighting Control, Shades & Energy Management Education at Crestron, will end the track with a presentation on incorporating lighting controls into IT infrastructure titled Integrated Building Technologies: Lighting Controls as a Catalyst for Building Intelligence.
