Sustainable AV – Beyond "Green"
The term "Green AV" is often used, but poorly defined. This presentation frames the conversation in a more comprehensive context. While the most common reaction is to focus specifically on energy and cost savings, but there are other environmental, ethical, and philosophical considerations which contribute significantly to being truly "Green." Looking at real-world examples, we will discuss the consequences of our decisions as technology consumers from the standpoint comprehensive environmental impact, cost, and ethical considerations, and identify potential areas of improvement.
